Paranormal Investigation & Dinner at Oxford Castle & Prison

Join us this November for a very special paranormal experience!

Hosted by Dr Ciaran O’Keeffe, (UK Living’s ‘Most Haunted’) and experienced paranormal investigator, you are invited to an evening at Oxford Castle & Prison.

Nestled within Oxford’s Castle Quarter, the Castle & Prison has been a place of incarceration and punishment for centuries, and was still in use (as the Hospital Wing) as late as 1996 and is reputedly the most haunted location in Oxford, the site of countless unexplained experiences and unsettling phenomena.

Your evening begins with a prosecco reception in our 900 year old crypt, the oldest part of the castle, and a chance to quiz Dr Ciaran O’Keeffe on his experiences as a paranormal researcher and to pick up tips for the evenings investigation.

The evening continues with a two-course dinner, expertly prepared and served to you in the exhibition room and former Prison hospital ward.

Then it’s time to begin the investigation…
We begin with a visit to the Punishment Cells, before breaking into smaller groups for a visit to the 17th century well chamber inside the castle mound; parts of the Castle & Prison that are normally closed to the public. 

Finally, we return to D-Wing, where the lights are extinguished, and you and your fellow guests are free to roam the site* and explore our 17th century cells, and Anglo-Saxon tower.

Whether you are an ardent believer in the supernatural, or an interested sceptic, this is sure to be an atmospheric and entertaining evening.
