Group Terms and Conditions

We are delighted to be welcoming you to Oxford Castle & Prison.

Anyone visiting Oxford Castle & Prison does so subject to the following terms and conditions.

Please read our terms and conditions carefully before booking your tour.

Booking

All tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Provisional

All provisional bookings are released after 7 days.

Arrival/ Late arrival

We ask all visitors to arrive at least 10 minutes before their scheduled tour start time. Oxford Castle & Prison retains absolute discretion as to whether visitors arriving late for their tour time will be allowed entry. Late-arriving visitors will be charged for their tour. Standard fees for late arrival are 100% of the booking. Tickets will not be transferred or refunded should a group arrive late for their time.

Amendments

All changes to a group booking must be received at least 7 days in advance by contacting us and are subject to availability. Any amendments requested within 7 days of your booking are subject to availability and you will be charged a rebooking fee.

Numbers

Groups arriving with fewer numbers than booked will be charged for all tickets. 1 free adult/ leader ticket is permitted for every 10 students/child tickets purchased. Any group arriving with additional numbers will be charged at the standard rate, subject to availability.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a group discount, groups must comprise of at least 15 persons and must pre-book their visit at least 7 days in advance. Groups who reduce their numbers to less than 15 will not receive a group discount but will be charged at the standard rate.

Peak Season

Limited Group Discounts will be available during peak season (school holidays) and remain the discretion of Oxford Castle & Prison as to whether a group discount is applied.

Cancellation

All group cancellations must be made at least 14 days in advance of your booking by contacting us. All group cancellation within 14 days of your booking will be charged a cancellation fee. Standard fees for cancellation are 100% of the booking.

Payment

Full payment will be required 14 days in advance of your booking. Alternatively if you have a credit account with Oxford Castle & Prison please see payment terms on your invoice. Oxford Castle & Prison reserve the right to remove any credit account without prior notice. If payment is made by bank transfer you must use your booking number as reference for the payment.

Personal Belongings

Due to the historical nature of the building, suitcases and large rucksacks can not be taken on the tour and these can be left in one of our lockers, located within the gift shop. Lockers are charged at £1 which is non-refundable. Personal belongings must under no circumstance be left in public areas. We reserve the right to remove any personal belongings left on site.

Photography

Please be advised photography is permitted at Oxford Castle and Prison and we invite you to share your photos with us by tagging Oxford Castle & Prison

Oxford Castle & Prison reserves the right to refuse entry on to a tour or remove any person who:

• Arrives late for their tour
• Is suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol
• Behaves in a manner which compromises the safety and enjoyment of our team or visitors
• Uses verbal or physical threat or insults towards any member of the team or any other visitor
• Does not respect the historic nature of the building
